Great Haywood to Wheelock

FRIDAY 11TH: Arrived at Great Haywood at around 7:30pm, set off soon
after and headed up Haywood Lock. Passed the Big Woolwich motor Darley moored
just pass the junction, Lily above Hoo Mill, and Cactus at Weston. Moored at the
bottom of Sandon lock for 10pm.
SATURDAY 12TH: At around 7:30, we set off from Sandon and arrived at
Stone bottom lock for about 8:30. Stopped for diesel at Stone Boat Building
before continuing up the flight, FMC motor Bream was moored in Stone as well as
FMC's Empress, Ibex, Ilford and Minnow, also was the GU boats Cepheus and Oakley. Slow
run up Meaford locks due to a couple of boats in front, arrived at Eturia Top
Lock for 4:15pm, quick run through Burslem and Longport, we arrived at
Harecastle for 5:15pm, where we went straight into the tunnel. Started down the
Cheshire flight and moored for the night at Church Lawson.

SUNDAY 13TH: This morning we set off at around 9am and headed down the
remainder of the Cheshire flight. Passed the Small Northwich butty Serpens near
Hassall Green and we moored at Malkins Bank for midday where we were met by Ade
who showed us round the work which he is undertaking on the Mersey Weaver motor
Walton. We continued down the last 4 locks at around 2pm, and moored at the
bottom of the locks for 3pm.
