SATURDAY 20TH:
We drove over to Norton Junction first thing on Saturday morning, spent an hour or so doing some work on Sickle and eventually set off at about twenty to nine. A couple of boats in front of us going down Buckby locks which slowed us down slightly. Arrived at Tim Carters place to about 11am and winded then breasted up alongside Cedar, the Small Northwich butty. For those of you who don't know, David Daines has kindly handed me the lease of Cedar for the forthcoming years, for us to give her some more TLC and enjoyable boating.
We set back off from Tim Carters at about 11:30am, and headed back towards Buckby. Managed to get back up Buckby in quite good time and moored at the top for about an hour whilst having a late lunch. Set back off through Braunston tunnel. Arrived at Braunston for about 6pm.
SUNDAY 21ST:
We were awoken at 6am by the Little Woolwich motor Callisto passing by, having got up and done some more tidying up on Cedar we set off at around 8am in the thick mist. Nice, quiet run across and down Hillmorton. Moored in Brinklow at around 1pm. The afternoon was then spent working on Cedar including assembling the front cratch.
