SATURDAY 22ND:

I have Sickle booked on Brinklow Boat Services dock for next weekend (27th and 28th Feb), so today I moved Sickle back down the Ashby, across the Coventry and along the Oxford Canal to Brinklow. The cold weather unfortunately returned again, the Ashby once again frooze over, although luckily only a thin layer this time. I left the mooring at about 9:15am, and turned left at Marston Junction by 11:30am. A fair number of boats moving about today, got through Suttons Stop and arrived at the junction with Brinklow arm by 2pm. Reversed up the arm and moored alongside the Big Woolwich motor Greenock by 2:30pm.
