Middle Northwich Boats...

Taygeta & Triagulum...

Taygeta was built with the fleet number 89, she was registered in Birmingham number 1587 on the 19th June 1936. She was originally paired with Triagulum and entered the fleet in April 1936. She was renamed Severn Dolphin and from 1958 she was worked by John Jinks for British Waterways. Severn Dolphin was used as a mud hopper on the BCN in the early seventies, and then as a maintenance boat on the River Weaver. In the 1990s she was leased privately by BW and renamed Taygeta.

Triagulum was registered in Birmingham number 1586. She was refurbished and re-entered service on the 4th August 1956 when she was sold to Willow Wren for £500 and was renamed Kestrel. By 1968 she was still owned by Willow Wren but wasn't in use. Triagulum is now moored on the Kennet and Avon Canal, has an undercloth conversion and is named Kestrel.
