Welcome to the Middle Northwich Sickle website a site designed to share the history, restoration and movements of this ex Grand Union Canal Carrying Company motor boat which has been shortened to its present length by the Ministry of War Transport for use as an icebreaker.

We have owned Sickle for seven years now and having spent five years restoring her back to 1950s condition we hope to travel the inland waterways extensively and attend Historic Narrowboat rallies.
